What's so good?

Made over the course of three years, 14KT (2010 Red Bull Big Tune Champion), has finally released something since 2009's Nowalataz.

14Killatape, as he explains, is a collection of  beats that he would have hated to hear played against himself. So, he took existing beats and fused them with beats of his own. The result is startling and will create the need for stronger neck brace production.

"Adrenaline" is the most menacing instrumental of 2011. "F What They Say" takes a late 90s Jon B sample and flips it over beautifully stunning drums. "You.Me" creates a world of stuttering off-kilter head nod from beginning to end. "3 Blind Mice" would fit well on any G-Unit production before finishing off into a galaxy of soul. It's not often that a producer can call himself versatile -- this is one of those rare occasions. 14KillaTape is the visceral instrumental hip hop release of the year.
