I love a good mashup. I also happen to love Jay-Z and Chrono Trigger. I hadn't heard of Kentucky producer 2 Mello before this week, but I love him now, too.It's not every day that someone crafts a great mashup. It's even less often that a fun, creative release like Chrono Jigga drops. So for 2 Mello to come out of nowhere with such a polished effort that incorporates some many things I love, well, that just has me gushing."An Encore in Time" samples the acapella from Jay-Z's popular track "Encore," blending it with "Corridors of Time," an original composition created by Yasunori Mitsuda for the Super Nintendo game Chrono Trigger. 2 Mello does a great job on the production, and actually contributes additional chorus vocals to the track.
