A couple years ago, Mason Proper became one of my favorite bands with their album Olly Oxen Free.
Though it has been a while since we’ve heard anything new from their camp, lead singer Jonathan Visger has been hard at work on a new project, Absofacto. We covered the single “On A Ladder Leading Nowhere” back in February, and today we’re fortunate to be premiering the latest track, “Geiger Counter.”
On the track, Jonathan is joined by Mason Proper’s guitarist Brian Konicek. The result is a heavier focus on electronics, sub bass lines, and intersecting guitar and vocals. Given that this is our first taste, I’d say they’re onto something really good here.
