What's so good?
By Jason Grishkoff | Nov 14, 2012

It sure seems like movie soundtracks are getting a whole lot more savvy when it comes to fresh, new artists. For example, we just featured two great tracks the Breaking Dawn, Part 2 soundtrack (Passion Pit and Ellie Goulding + Skrillex). Now it looks like the movie Silver Linings Playbook is joining the party, with a soundtrack including breakout band Alt-J.

The song is a bit of a departure from the band's standard schizophrenic sound. Featuring Mountain Man (a trio of folk songstresses), the song is downtempo and frankly quite beautiful. Clearly it has a lot to do with the lead vocals.

Overall, it's a solid, but perhaps depressing track. Hopefully I didn't just ruin your day...
