Italian producer/DJ Aquadrop released a single entitled “Mare Tranquillitatis” at the end of July. Likened to Hudson Mohawke, this track encompasses many different elements of funk, grime, and everything experimental.
The breadth of sound throughout this song is honestly ridiculous. It’s the kind of amalgamation that upon theory seems like it’s impossible to work, like chocolate covered bacon, for example. But then you eat that bacon and it’s just effing delicious. I’d recommend giving this track a listen through a few times to really get an appreciation of the different sounds Aquadrop brings to the table.
