Ryan Hemsworth has really been on a roll as of late. It seems like whatever the Canadian-born producer works on is solid gold. Doesn't matter what the genre is that he tackles, it's always got the signature Hemsworth flavor. It doesn't matter if it's hip-hop (his Lil-B remixes), electronic (his Grimes remix), or indie pop (his Cat Power remix), Ryan Hemsworth can make anything sound cool. Even the Backstreet Boys.
That's right, I said the Backstreet Boys. In celebration of 20 years since the Backstreet Boys entered the music scene, for better or worse, Hemsworth has created a bit of a tribute. Using some samples from the single "Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely," off the Backstreet Boys' Millennium album that helped to set off the 90s boy-band craze, Hemsworth has put together his very own bootleg of the track.
Now don't worry, there is no bubblegum left in a track that left teenage girls swooning. Instead, Hemsworth managed to completely re-work the hook with his own electro beats and flavor. I guess we shouldn't be that surprised though, since he did release an EP of covers including some tracks by the likes of The Spice Girls and Katy Perry (You can download that EP right here for free).
So go ahead and let Ryan Hemsworth show you the real meaning of being lonely.
