I have a feeling that this is one of those songs that while thoroughly enjoyable, it would drive someone in the next room batshit crazy. Specifically, I would conjecture that the flute/whistle used throughout the latter part of the song can pierce walls on a massive radius.
But, for those near the music, Peking Duk’s remix of “Old Pine” by Ben Howard should hit the spot as far as indie rock remixes are concerned. Released on the 2011 album Every Kingdom, the original single climbed as high as number 36 on the UK Indie Chart. Mind you, that’s not particularly high…but it’s still a good song.
