Of course, the DC duo are a story in and of themselves. A chance meeting led to the seamless merging of minds, and as natural as a beating heart, music was made.
Benoit & Sergio choose to write in concrete terms rather than abstract, meaning simply that they recognize the power of a great hook and melody.
Their New Ships EP, released Oct. 15 via Visionquest, demonstrates this with the self-titled single “New Ships.” It’s an all together visceral experience built on analog magic, romantic pop sensibility, and a sense of narrative.
