What's so good?

Blue Hawaii are Montreal natives, and they sure know how to approach minimal electronic music. Signed with Arbutus Records, they most recently released their album, Untogether, on March 5, 2013, which includes the gem of a song “In Two.” Along with “Try To Be,” (which gained much critical attention), this track has catapulted Blue Hawaii to great heights.

“In Two” is haunting, minimal and darkened electronica with a foot-tapping, hiccuping beat. We’ve fallen in love with the dense female vocals, saturated synths and delicate space Blue Hawaii has created for us here. As Arbutus Records suggests, “Even the name Blue Hawaii suggests a kind of melancholic, jaded paradise, but a paradise afterall.”

Welcome to paradise, Shufflers.
