Zeds Dead has carved a niche for himself as a down and dirty dubstep producer. Which is what makes this version of Bon Iver’s “Woods” so interesting: it’s exposed a whole new, mellowed out artist.
I can’t actually tell if this remix is part of the official competition that Bon Iver was holding (how’d that end up, anyway?). It doesn’t really seem to be — rather, a promotional release that Zeds Dead is giving away for free.
It’s not really like context matters here, though. The song stands out on its own as a nice listen. Grab your download here.
