2010 found the release of a stellar album by British electronic musician Bonobo, and it rocked my world. The downtempo, smoothed out electronic music perfectly wafted out of any and every speaker I could find, and still is a go-to album to this day.
In celebration of this successful album, Simon Green (aka Bonobo) is releasing a remix album February 21 in North America, or February 14 in the UK.
Machinedrum is but one of the many collaborators on the remix album, getting his hands on the exceptional track “Eyesdown.” The beat is frantic yet calm, piling penetrating staccato drums over Andreya Triana’s emotive vocals.
Other artists to contribute to the remix album include Duke Dumont, FaltyDL, Floating Points, and Lapalux, among others. And before I forget, Bonobo is on a DJ tour right now through the US, Europe, and Australia, so make sure to check his live set out.
