It feels like it’s been quite a while since I’ve been graced with the presence of a new Breakbot track. Back when I started listening to music on the Hype Machine, Breakbot was one of the first artists that I really fell in love with. His vibe takes my soul back to a time where I wasn’t even alive by blending elements of modern electronica with classic disco flare.
Releases are few and far between, yet each new jam sticks to the original Breakbot sound. “Fantasy (Feat. Ruckazoid)” is his newest offering, and this old-school dance tune was well worth the wait. Ruckazoid’s vocals almost remind me of Michael Jackson in a way, further complementing Breakbot’s classic style.
I wish we had more new tunes to review, but this single comes from a compilation CD that Ed Banger records released in April so enjoy this older remix of “Baby” from Pnau.
