What's so good?

I think sometimes we get lost in the world of music and what it truly means to us in our lives. It’s safe to say that many of us have forgotten that there existed a time where music was made of just pure instrumentation and nothing more was needed. Broke For Free has reminded me of this today with his newly released single “The Gold Lining,” off the upcoming EP Gold Can Stay.

Broke For Free consists of just one man – Tom Cascino, a talented multi-instrumentalist/producer from San Francisco who specialises in fresh and dreamy chillwave. “The Gold Lining” starts off subtly, with bells echoing. Then, slowly but surely, we hear the entrance of the euphoric electric guitar and soft drum bass line. The song gradually builds pace and you find that you are in this constant state of chill, allowing you to drift in and out of your world.

Do yourself a favor and find a cozy spot in a place where you can chill out for the next five minutes.

What do you think?
