The track “Doomage” is supposedly a bonus off of Brother Ali’s Undisputed Truth. In complete honesty, I have been unable to verify this. The only reference I can find is when the blog Berkeley Place rated the album his #3 of 2007.
Regardless, it’s nice to find a track that features three heavy-hitting hip-hop artists, Brother Ali, Slug and MF Doom. Granted, it’s not much of a surprise to see Slug and Brother Ali working together — both are Minnesota natives. A bit more surprising was to learn that MF Doom was featured heavily on this album, producing a number of the tracks.
Consider me ignorant if you will, but learning these artists had joined forces was a pleasant surprise. Kinda like learning that Phoenix played as the backing band for Air and provided the vocals to Playground Love, off the Virgin Suicides soundtrack.
