Okay I’m convinced — the men of Grizzly Bear are a bunch of unstoppable, ambitious dudes who probably love taking the independent music world by storm time and time again by challenging what defines any one genre. Now it’s Chris Taylor’s turn, in the form of his new project CANT. His debut album, Dreams Come True, is due out on September 13 under his new record label Terrible Records. This little teaser, “Answer,” will probably leave you wanting more well before the release date.
This track encapsulates a very sexually charged vibe with its smooth, echoey vocals, elongated bendy synth, deep vibrating bass, and steady drum beat. Not to mention the repetitive lyrics: “It’s been awhile since you’ve needed me,” and ”I want you close, close for this.”
Give this single a listen and try to contain the sexual tension. I dare you.
