The Guardian recently alerted us to Sheffield artist Carnivals, describing him as “the missing link between Burial and The Beatles.”
While that description might be overdoing it a little, Carnivals is undoubtedly a very exciting artist, tying together a raft of influences to create a sound that more truthfully lies somewhere between Shlohmo and Washed Out, all underscored with a healthy amount of bass.
