"Open Road"

Sounds like: Starfucker, Madeon, Geographer

What's so good?

Carousel is a trio from Boston, MA: two men on synth and one on guitar. Together, the three have composed some incredibly catchy tunes — in particular, “Open Road.” And all of this has been done, it would seem, without a real-life drummer or bass player.

Regardless of how they go about doing it, I don’t think I’ve ever been as excited to hear a band that sounds like Starfucker. And I mean that in the best, most original way possible (no one wants to be compared to a band that already exists, right?).

Carousel have successfully approached the indie pop genre in a manner that completely appeals to my earbuds. If you share this sentiment, you can grab a free download of their EP here.
