What's so good?

Charlie Mayfair, a Brisbane-based folk-pop band, are yet another Australian act doing fantastic things. Having released their debut EP Watch My Hands just four months after forming in 2010, they have been a regular fixture on the Australian circuit, supporting the likes of The Panics and Husky. Steadily growing as a band, they’ve just released a new EP, Fall in Time, with lead single “Waste Me” a standout.

The single sees a slightly new direction from the quintet — a more frantic, bold sound than their more familiar folk tracks. The frenetic percussion and guitar really help to guide this track, giving Hannah Sheperd’s gorgeous vocals a chance to shine. Abrupt and slightly confronting, the track is perfectly complimented by the video clip which was filmed in the breathtaking Southern Highlands.

Well known in their home town, their new EP and especially “Waste Me” should help to spread the word of their considerable talent.
