Sounding exactly of the stuff the name implies, Chrome Sparks drops his latest track, “Marijuana.” Nestled in as part of the Ann Arbor artist collective, GRL MNT, “Marijuana” is a stand-out tune. It’s a J Dilla sorta, Bibio-esque, Tycho kind of approach; an escape into melodic samples and fuzzed out instrumentation creating an atmosphere that’s as fluffy and welcoming as a crisp feather pillow on a cool spring day.
No stranger to the shuffle, I was blowing Malvin up back in May after seeing him open for Starslinger. Needless to say, I’ve been hooked on him ever since, so I’m happy to share his latest, as it is tres choice!
