If you remember Aaron Lipsett’s debut on the Shuffle back in October, then you’ll remember how stoked I was about the young up-and-comer.
His next release, a remix of Clean Bandit’s “Nightingale,” drops via Black Butter Records which, as you may know, is also home to the amazing Kidnap Kid and one of my new obsessions, Gorgon City.
“Nightingale” is a soft explosion of bubbly synths and pulsing bass lines that rise like dopamine levels. Perfectly balanced by a simple silky melody, this track is a harmonious meeting of organic and digital wonder. Lipsett demonstrates an excellent sense of timing and effortlessly transitions through a range of surprising dynamics. In other words, I’m in love.
