Few songs are widely recognized by our generation as Clint Mansell’s “Lux Aerterna,” off the Requiem for a Dream soundtrack. It’s no surprise then that the track landed in MartyParty cross-hairs — its darkness and intensity lending perfectly to the opportunity for a strong, electronic remix filled with womps and wobbles galore.
The remix comes in anticipation of the South African-born artist’s upcoming release of Six Shots of Jameson, as well as his first nationwide tour of 2012. One-half of the duo PANTyRAiD (with Ooah), parallels can easily be drawn between his style and that of Bassnectar or Skrillex — providing an excellent anchor point for your listen.
