For music fanatics, one of the most highly anticipated weekends of the year is upon us: Coachella. It signifies the start of the summer festival season and offers (arguably) the best three days of music in America. Per usual, this year’s lineup is brimming with exceptional acts of all genres, both relevant and nostalgic.
With over 160 acts on the bill and an added stage this year, it is common for one to fall victim to content overload. After scanning the lineup, I’ve created a mixtape with one song from each Coachella artist I would hypothetically see if conflicts were nonexistent. The result is an exhausting testament to the strength of the weekend: 55 artists in playlist form. For Coachella-goers that are unsure of which earlier (small typeface) acts are worth seeing, I hope the tape serves to shine light on one or two artists that were previously overlooked.
First, I’ve listed what I deem to be the supreme act from each stage. Then the big playlist! Enjoy, and I’ll see y’all under the desert sun.
