About
Indie Shuffle is a San Francisco-based indie music blog that covers indie rock, hip hop, alternative, folk, punk and much much more. We shuffle through piles of independent music — old and new — so you don’t have to. We’d also like to think we’ve got the best in-house music player of any blog :-)
Contact
Indie Shuffle gets an overwhelming amount of submissions daily. Here’s how to get noticed:
Step 1: Include “New Music” in the subject — we use a GMail filter to identify submissions this way
Step 2: Include an easy listening link — Bandcamp/SoundCloud preferred. Attached MP3s are fine as well. Try to avoid Mediafire, Yousendit, etc.
Here are our contact emails:
– New music submissions: submissions@indieshuffle.com
– All other emails: Jason, President and Founder // Hannah, Editor-in-Chief

History
In September of 2008, an email went out to a group of friends that included some of the best new music found over a period of only two weeks (bands included Foals, Patrick Watson, and Flamingo Crash). Twelve email “editions” and about 50 bands later, this old website was up and running:
Since the old website, Indie Shuffle has come a long way. Today, we are happy to be able to bring you some of the best music we can find in a quick, clean, and user-friendly format.
