DANVERS

As far as Australian folk-pop goes, David John Williams' project DANVERS is up there with the finest. A member of the ridiculously talented Adelaide band Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire!, he's just released his latest single "Paper Skin."Unlike many side projects where artists don't stray too far from their band's regular sound, Williams takes on a completely different guise on his solo work (similar to Manor, another offshoot of F!SRF!). Operating as a mix of folk, jazz and blues, he creates introspective music which showcases his dreamy vocals, changeable guitar and more importantly, his expert arrangement.Described as a "slow-burning herald of things to come" I'm expecting new material from this brilliant musician soon.
