DEJA

Each time I review a track from Melbourne future-pop duo DEJA, I comment on the diversity of music they create. With their new single "Still Falling" just out, this pattern of musical versatility has continued.While perhaps containing some of the elements contained in earlier release, "Luststruck," they've again made themselves known as a band of many talents. The lingering synth lines and male/female vocal interplay remain  but they've included a more regimented percussion scheme. The result is a smooth, somewhat celestial sound which will no doubt appeal to Yeasayer or The Knife fans.Their first release of 2013, it's a single off an upcoming EP due out later this year. To make things even sweeter, it's a free download on their SoundCloud.
