What's so good?
By Hugh McClure | Dec 03, 2012 | Total plays: 47,144

While there are a number of Australian bands releasing slacker, surf pop music at the moment, Sydney's Driffs are quite possibly my favorite. After completing their first material earlier this year, they recently released their first official single "Someday."

Seeing them for the first time the other night in the packed REC studios (where they recorded their single), I was immediately drawn in by their blend of psych, pop and surf genres. If you closed your eyes, it might as well have been the extended instrumental sections of Real Estate, or the breathy vocals of Beach Fossils. Theirs is the sort of music you'll listen to over and over again.

If you like this track, you can check out a couple of their other demos on their SoundCloud.
