Sounds like: Yeasayer, Animal Collective

What's so good?

What happens when you combine a psychedelic troupe with Azealia Banks’ “212,” and mix in some animal sounds and tribal drums? The correct answer is Dumbo Gets Mad’s “Tahiti Hungry Jungle.” Have I confused you yet?

I will warn you: this shit is weird. I honestly didn’t know what to expect when this track was sent my way, but I’m glad I gave it a chance. This track, conceived by this obscure duo, brings forward a pretty rad re-imagination of Banks’ hits “212″ and “Liquorice” with all of the necessary elements to still classify it under the psych genre.

The cover will be on their sophomore album, Quantum Leap, due out February 6, 2013 via Bad Panda Records. Now it’s time to plug in and get tribal.

What do you think?
