ESTA rips a dope sample off of M.I.A.’s “Caps Lock” to put together the sexiest thing we’ve heard since DPAT’s Jeremih refix last week. The track has such a suggestive sound — apparently this was the reject song off SEXTAPE. You can bet his releases are only filled with good stuff!
I’m seriously impressed by all of ESTA’s work. I know we say that a lot, but this guy’s something else. His samples always seem choice, and he almost flawlessly blends the grit with the mellow. Exhibit A: “Silhouette,” featuring a Kendrick Lamar sample, and Exhibit B: “IWannaBeDown,” his take on the illustrious Brandy. Expressive remixes that balance chill with upbeat. If I could fall in love with a sound, I would fall in love with this shit. Makes me miss SoCal – perfect cruising tunes. No doubt he’s from San Diego.
