What's so good?

In light of the newly released remixs by Midland (UK) and Sholomo (USA), Flume's "Sleepless Ft. Jezzabell Doran" is again at the tip of one thousand tongues.

Now, that's a rough estimate, but back in August, the soft release of the original version amassed over 600,000 plays on YouTube, 150,000+ on Soundcloud, and jumped to #1 on the iTunes Australia Electronic Chart for a hot minute.

Flume may only be 20 years old, but the Sydney based producer is well on his way. Hard to believe that his start in music was found in a cereal box (what kind of cereal company gives away music software?!) It's not surprising that his sound is a playful variety of magic in a package. With an ever-present hip-hop undertone and the cozy comfort of a tuned-down vocal, Flume's beats fizzle, pop, and sparkle in all the right ways. Thus, I thought it important to remind the masses what they may well already know - Flume is something special.

He's got headline spots lined up with names like The xx, and T.E.E.D , and has massive support behind international tour plans in 2013. With that, and the album dropping on November 9, Flume is definitely giving us something to look forward to.
