What's so good?

Flying Lotus is a shooting star. It's no hyperbole to say that it's not often that an artist can capture the energy of a generation and match it with musical intelligence. Steve Ellison does that and more. As a solo artist, label head and collaborator, in a relatively short span of years FlyLo has shown and proved time and time again.

"See Thru To U" is the first offering from Until The Quiet Comes, Lotus' fourth solo LP and third on Warp. This is transcendentalist club music, a track that will resonate as hard between your temples as it will on Wednesday nights at the Airliner in Los Angeles.

Halfway through the track, Erykah Badu becomes not the lead but a member of the ensemble, her vocals meshing in with the other instrumentation.  Though only Badu is credited as a featured artist, frequent collaborator Stephen "Thundercat" Bruner is all over the song.

Also, isn't that a beautiful album cover?

Until The Quiet Comes drops October 2.
