The warm weather is starting to creep up all around the globe, even though it may still feel like Christmas was yesterday (or is that just me who thinks time really does fly?), but spring is finally upon us. I’ve recently decided to hang up my cold-weathered, somber songs that get me through winter and bring out those tunes that I just can’t get enough of in the spring and summertime.
The change in weather calls for a round-up of tunes that will pump you up for spring and lead you to those blissful summer days. With that said, I thought it was only fitting to do the same on this week’s Fresh Meat playlist.
Although some of the songs aren’t the most conventional tune you hear when you think of blue skies and sunshine, they should definitely have you counting down until it’s completely acceptable to only wear flip flops. There is a variety of both vocals and instruments featured on this week’s playlist. Some of the artists focus on making their voices heard with a more soft-sounding background, while others integrate the instruments to play a key role in making the song more powerful.
