What's so good?

Being an utter Motown/oldies junkie, I find it completely necessary to add a little bit of that genre into the mix for this week’s Friday Five.
Without further ado, here are five upbeat tracks that will get your Friday started off in the right direction — you can bet that they’ll get you ready for the rowdy weekend ahead.
"Mary Wells - My Guy"
Mary Wells was the first female star at Motown Records. "My Guy" was Motown's first British hit, and in 1972, the track was reissued in the UK and went to #14.

"Stevie Wonder - Superstition"
In November 2004, Rolling Stone ranked the song at #74 on their list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. The song deals with superstitions, and mentions several popular superstitious fables in its lyrics.

"Smokey Robinson & The Miracles - Tears of a Clown"
Motown released "The Tears of a Clown" as a single in the U.S. where it quickly became a #1 hit on both the Billboard Hot 100 and R&B Singles charts. It is an international multi-million seller and a 2002 Grammy Hall of Fame inductee.

"Martha & The Vandellas - (Love Is Like a) Heat Wave"
"(Love Is Like a) Heat Wave", has been said to have been the first song to signify the"Motown Sound" or "Sound of Young America".
