What's so good?
By Elizabeth Walker | Jan 13, 2012 | Total plays: 12,669

You know that mystic space between wake and dreamland, where fantastical things happen and you either jerk awake or slide into fantasy? I'm convinced UK electronic shoegaze artist Gang Colours is from there.

Soft and supple, Will Ozanne - aka Gang Colours - just dropped "Fancy Restaurant," which features delicate piano and hazy vocals, perfectly sliding listeners into a warm, lazy daydream. Who needs Ambien when they have Gang Colours? Even better, the lyrics are everything a girl wants to hear: "I know you don't care that much about money / but I'm gonna make some and take you out." Dearest bros, take note for the upcoming Valentine's Day.

I'm just going to say this, so don't hate: Ozanne kinda sounds like Owl City and James Blake's illegitimate child, in that he's carrying the diffused, post-dupstep(ish) melodies with intermixed piano, but also has a pop(ish) electronic side.

For more Gang Colours, check out his amazingly chilled out Soundcloud page or peep this interview by Dummy Mag from last year.
