What's so good?

While Belfast-based Girls Names have only been going at it since 2009, their sound points to a slightly older generation.

At more than 7 minutes long, “The New Life” strikes me as a throwback to progressive shoegaze artists like Film School, and I must admit that I quite like the direction.

The band will be releasing a new album sometime in the near future, though title and date remain elusive. In the meanwhile, you can grab a 12″ copy of this single via Rough Trade Records.
