What's so good?

GRANT is here, and he serves as yet another uncanny sign that something must be infecting north Florida’s waters. With such a surge of underage and underground musicians, we should start looking for leaking power plants or whatever it  may that is filling these children to the brim, and overflowing with talent.

GRANT is one of the highlights in this crowd of youthful musicians. Not only does his taste range from traditional mash-ups of hip-hop and electronic songs to his own spacey industrial tracks, he exemplifies his skills on tracks of such simplicity yet intricacy that will bend even the most stable of minds.

“Mystery Challenger” is one of the first few songs off his newest showing of his skills in his self-titled EP. It welcomes us with such severe depths of sonic sound that the only thing that could balance it would be complete silence.

Claude Debussy once told us, “Music is the silence between the notes,” and this comment is taken most literally in “Mystery Challenger.” After bouts of such rattling reverberations the slips of silence catch you out of breath, a little surprised, and ready for the next slew of bass.

Take it for a spin and you’ll see, why not, YOLO.
