Hacienda’s latest album Shakedown was produced by Dan Auerbach, just like their last album Big Red and Barbacoa.
On this album, Auerbach actually helped co-write some tunes, and it results in a sound that’s a little more focused. The songs are tight and the production is high, and while this benefits them in some songs like “Let Me Go,” at other times I miss their older, messier style.
Regardless, they’ve moved on to bigger and better things as they continue to get noticed around the country.
