What's so good?

When Atlanta-based producer HeRobust hit the scene in 2011 with his debut EP, Albumin, I had never heard anything like it. From his completely original reworking of old school hip-hop to his creation of distinctly day-time, digital landscapes, I was impressed along with the industry.

With a current remix of Lil Wayne’s “A Milli,” it seems HeRobust is moving in a different direction, most noticeably towards Skrillex’s audience. As one Facebook fan stated, it’s “super fresh, but sometimes I miss the mellow, slurpy, slimey wobbles you threw down on Albumin way back when.”

Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, we gotta let our artists evolve, but we can still reminisce can’t we?  Lets float through the daydream, “Crystalinstrumental” off Morning After, and make a toast to “way back when.”
