Arizona-based producer Honest dropped an ambient new track entitled “#,” which may or may not be the smartest title in existence.
Why, you ask? Isn’t that just ironic hipster drivel? Sure, maybe. But measured in tandem with the audio, “#” begins to take on a world of meaning — more of an open interpretation of feeling. I bet your mind is already doing a roll-a-deck type search of perfect tag words: #journey, #bliss, #frenchriviera, #changes, #truelove, #bestdayever, #whileyouweresleeping — you see, anything goes, and yet it’s all still true.
With only a few tracks under his belt, “#” is a much different sound than his previous remix for Kyogi, but judging by his recent teaser, I’m guessing the fledgling producer has an eclectic mix of style in store for us. For now, focus your listening pleasure on “#,” and hashtag your heart out.
