What's so good?

I'm getting a kick out of the fact that Hot Sugar hashtagged his song title. Some would say that bleeds hipster, I say it's a jostling sort of humor that seems to come out in his music as well. Not that he is not a serious dude, but he seems seriously intent on not taking himself too seriously through his seriousness. Whoa.

Known for creating sounds straight from his environment, Ninja Tunes (his new label) says, "That means there's some very weird, unusual and downright dangerous source material." Interesting. Speaking of weird and unusual, the visuals for "#Mindcontrol" are.... just that. Probably not the best thing to be previewing at work though, consider that a warning!

Outside of being a pro at manipulating soundscapes, he also has strong roots in hip hop. Check out this first track from the forthcoming album he produced for The Roots.

I probably could go on, he's just one of those multifaceted sort of artists, but I'll leave that up to you to find out more here or here. His newest EP, Moon Money, is available now through Ninja Tunes.
