Hungry Kids of Hungary

When Yesterday's Gone

Sounds like: Oh Mercy, The Boat People, Last Dinosaurs
So it's been a week since the release of Brisbane's Hungry Kids of Hungary's (HKoH) second album, You're A Shadow, and after careful consideration, I thought I would pick out one song that I thought all you Shufflers out there might enjoy.Whether or not you've been a fan for a while or you're completely new to the work of the Aussie four-piece, "When Yesterday's Gone" will be a winner in your books by the end of today. It's the sort of track that I was hoping to find amongst the abundance of easy listening rock tracks, something very reminiscent to their earlier work.Quiet charming melodies that evoke a sense of nostalgia... what more could you possibly ask for?  It's a perfect reminder of the band's ability to combine their trademark melodies and burning energetic hooks to produce music that inspires equal measures of curiosity and joy.I'm glad the band said that this was their favorite single on the album, because as it turns out, it's mine too!
