What's so good? By Zach Connett | Sep 17, 2013 | Total plays: 2,606
Along with having one of the most unique names in the rap game, IamSu! also makes some pretty good songs. Kilt II was released three months ago, so you'll have to excuse me for being late to the game. That said, his presence was needed on our site, and this one is called "Hipster Girls."
It would be easy to come up with some cheesy rhymes about the social habits of this young generation, but IamSu! uses a combination of wit, charm, and swagger to poetically describe the ladies whose minds are immersed in their digital personalities and status. As he puts it, this song goes out to all the "hipster girls on Instagram straight flexin, on Tumblr straight flexin." We can relate to these kind of lyrics in today's day and age, one in which we spend so much time focusing on and worrying about our Internet presence rather than on what really matters: the here and now.
This is where I transition from early-week philosophy to the tune at hand. "Hipster Girls" is a versatile jam that's great for a classy party, cruising in the drop, or really just anytime you want to throw on some vibes that make you feel cooler than you actually are.
