Now before we get started, I want to make something clear: this post is about Ital of Washington DC, not Ital Tek of Brighton. They are two different artists. It’s confusing, I know, but these are the things that we must deal with as music lovers.
Ital, born Daniel Martin-McCormick, just dropped a new album on Planet Mu called Dream On, with the single “Boi” being the first public track.
It’s a bit of a schizophrenic track, in which Ital samples Beyonce’s “Baby Boy” with the darkest manner possible (betcha didn’t see that one coming). It ends up being a tsunami of inorganic layers, forming together for the perfect frantic storm.
