Give a big welcome to the next big thing to hit the electro pop blogosphere: Brighton-based duo IYES.Describing Josh Christopher and Melis Soyaslanova as exciting would be a restrained commentary. These two create passionate pop, stimulating synth filled with palpable atmosphere. Their uplifting melodies will make you want to get up and dance. I promise. Just one listen and you'll be hooked.IYES definitely deserves all this praise: their sound and style will remind you of The xx while their carefree lyrics are perfectly suited to the beach daze of Brighton. No wonder The Sunday Times is already claiming they're going to "explode."
