Holy guacamole, Batman! Santa Cruz-based Mist Glider is not messing around with these remixes. When he approached me at the end of March to premiere his take on XXYYXX's "About You," I was blown away with what he and fellow Bay Area producer Aeropsia had crafted together. I love that track, and so now I just feel spoiled to premiere Mist Glider's newest remix.He's teamed up with San Francisco producer Tree to deliver an ambitious rework of James Blake's "Retrograde." I can't say that I'm the biggest fan of the original track, which received considerable attention from the blogosphere when it first debuted. Maybe I just haven't given James Blake and his new album enough of a chance.
