You remember Johnny Astro, right? He’s the Texas emcee/producer behind “The SkyWalkers,” ”The Nightlife Nightlights” and several other tracks floating around Indie Shuffle. Well, in anticipation of his forthcoming mixtape, TheWorldEnds, Johnny has something new he wants you to hear.
“Whats Up” is a change of pace from the what we’ve come to expect from Johnny Astro. The beat is aggressive and full of volume fluctuations, like something off a DJ Khaled or Maybach Music Group compilation.
Also, Johnny brought some friends along with him this time. I am not overly familiar with Marcato Slim, D.C, Supa or Aaron Carolina, but enjoyed what they all brought to the track.
“Whats Up” won’t make an appearance on TheWorldEnds, but should hold us over for a few weeks while we wait for the next dope Johnny Astro release.
