The dubstep invasion continues. Joy Orbison’s HYPH MNGO is one-of-a-kind, innovative, and took dance music to a new level back in 2009. Listening will open your ears to a new type of dubstep and demand you listen over and over again.
Joy Orbison, aka Peter O’Grady, is a DJ based in London known for his ability to merge dubstep, funk, and house all in one. This single made the underground scene go crazy back when it was released two years ago and has since become an instaclassic. In fact, it was ranked #1 in Fact Magazine’s top tracks of 2009 and hit NME’s New Music top 25 list for 2010, so it shouldn’t take a genius to realize this song is epic as fuck. Yeah, that’s right, I’m going there: Epic. As. Fuck.
Inspired by My Bloody Valentine’s atmospheric power and mixed with UK garage/rave, it’ll only take a quick listen and see what you’ve been missing out on. Check out other Joy Orbison music on MySpace and Facebook.
