What's so good?

After the success of their first two singles (which both reached staggering heights on Hype Machine), Sydney’s Jubilants are back with another indie pop treasure. Australia has become synonymous with the genre in recent times, but the sheer vibrancy of “Antics” and “Spain” have helped the four-piece carve out their own little niche in the overflowing talent pool.

“Fiasco” is my favorite track from the guys thus far. It contains all the ingredients they need to have another hit on their hands. The combination of tropical themed percussion, towering guitar riffs, and pulsating synth arrangements have served (fellow Australian) bands like Last Dinosaurs well in recent times, and I can see no reason why these guys shouldn’t eventually be aiming for a similar trajectory.

Aside from this, the guys are building a bit of a reputation for their DJ sets around town, and they’ll be playing at the first ever INDIE SHUFFLE PRESENTS show on November 24 (RSVP here).
