A long time has passed since James Ford and Jas Shaw broke off from the band Simian to form Simian Mobile Disco. But, interestingly enough, the song “We Are Your Friends” didn’t take off until the year following the band’s split.
Credited to Justice, the song started as a remix of the track “Never Be Alone.” Even more interesting — when the song won best video award at MTV Europe in 2006, Kanye West hopped on stage to claim that he deserved the prize.
