Kid Cudi

Maniac (Ft. Cage and St. Vincent)

Sounds like: WZRD, Kanye West, Big Sean
Kid Cudi Friday! I don't expect this to be a trend, but it appears that the last time we shared a Kid Cudi song was two weeks ago to the day...on a Friday.  Today we've got two songs, one of which will be off Mr. Cudi's upcoming Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager. "Maniac" features two artists in addition to Kid Cudi: Cag and St. Vincent. Cage, otherwise known as Chris Palko, has released three studio albums and founded of the underground hip-hop supergroup The Weathermen. On the opposite spectrum, St. Vincent (formerly a member of The Polyphonic Spree and Sufjan Stevens' touring band) is a folksy singer-songwriter. Who else could better bring them together than the indie sample master himself, Kid Cudi? The second track is "Switchin Lanes", which was produced by Emile. This isn't a new track. It was produced back in 2009, Emile and Cudi worked together on a track called "Switchin Lanes" for the video game Midnight Club: Los Angeles. It's dope. Really dope. For all his singing, I find it really refreshing to hear Cudi actually flow.
