King Tuff first appeared on Indie Shuffle with his single, “Screaming Skull,” in October 2012. Kyle Thomas had stopped playing as King Tuff in 2003, but the project came back in 2006 because “someone told me to resurrect King Tuff.” We all are happy he did that.
Now, even though he has not made any new music since then, Burger Records are reissuing Was Dead. This album brought him into the spotlight among the indie rock community.
“Sun Medallion” is lo-fi power pop song. It’s guitar driven, with prefect laid back vocals. Grab pre-order of the reissued album here if you’re so inclined.
